M.S. is an autoimmune disease. There are no peptides that can help. It's slowly degenerative. The best your friend can hope to do is take her meds regularly and slow the progression.
Is she on interferons?
Metformin doesn't lower carbohydrate absorption. You seem to have a lot going on medically(hormone therapy, polycythemia). Personally I wouldn't recommend adding it because of the potential for renal toxicity.
