So it has been about a month now since I last saw an endocrinologist. He said that we should wait two months and get my testosterone levels checked again. I submitted my medical questionnaire to Maximus, but I haven't gotten a physical yet to fax. Should I wait a month and see this guy again...
The problem is that this was the second opinion! But the major red flag was when he said that the endocrinologist I saw earlier was a "good doctor." That's the same cocksucker that laughed at me when I asked for another blood test.
I guess what this guy wants me to do is wait another two...
Alright, I saw another Endo today and he basically told me the same thing. Said he has no grounds to treat me based on my levels which look normal. I questioned him on why he thought those levels were normal for an eighteen year old male and he said, "well, testosterone levels fluctuate." He...
Saw my GP today about Cymbalta not working. I told her I really want to explore the possibility of me having low T, I brought up the studies I've read. She ordered me another blood test for Total T and Free T this time. I'm also getting referred to another endocrinologist who hopefully isn't...
I'd like to thank everyone that has offered information and advice in this thread. It really means a lot to me, and has actually restored some of my hope which seemed completely lost after going to doctor after doctor for 6 months now.
I got my Cortisol tested in May by a dermatologist, and it was 29.8 mcg/24 h. My TSH in July was 2.49 uIU/mL, and my free T4 was 1.33 ng/dL.
I was going to call Chip today but I overslept and just now woke I up. I assume it's too late to call at this point.
I'm 100% sure those are the right levels. The only reason I can think my levels would be low is something to do with me having Celiac disease. I've had that my whole life, but I haven't found much on it causing low T unless you're ingesting gluten. I was tested to see if I had ingested any...
Well the problem with that is I tried to get a retest, and instead he just said I don't have a testosterone problem and said, "these tests cost a lot of money..." then sent me back to my GP.
I've stopped seeing the endocrinologist and went back to the GP in hopes of being able to see a different one.
From my knowledge you have to get a referral to see a specialist so the insurance covers it. I understand that I can't argue with the doctor, I really didn't. I just suggested that...
My mom understands that I have low T. The only reason I tried the Cymbalta (which I no longer take) is because I was hoping that I was wrong when it came to this and maybe it would help me. But even that she now understands, what can she do to help me with a restart? And how much would that...
My mom is the one who takes me to all my appointments and she understands what I'm going through. dad isn't really in the picture. Going to try to be very stern with the GP next time I see her, but they always tell me my levels are normal and that if they "put me on testosterone" there will be...
I submitted my health form to the Maximus site. I plan on talking to my GP and pleading with her to send me to a young, open minded endocrinologist. The only worry I have about Maximus is the cost of it. I don't know if my insurance covers it and I don't think I can afford it on my own. I...
