So basically I switch back to a previous Clinic where my favorite Hematologist worked. Unfortunately my doc there got sick and retired. Anyway new Dr says it's stupid to stop the HRT let's fix your blood and he did a phlebotomy today. It's going to be a little tricky but it's about quality of life.
Yep I have some crappy pill that kills my stomach that Mayo gave me. It's a script form of folic and all other b vitamins. But it major side effect is Poly Vera. LOL......I am sure know your starting to understand.
It's why I found a new hematologist. Trying to get the right cocktail of meds...
Ferritin was on the very low end can't remember number but it range. Can't limit the B12. Pernicious anemia. But I get where your going.
My local endo basically says f$/& Mayo. Low the dose every other week and let's recheck.
Yep you would of thought that my Platelets would of also risen. They did for a while was amazed the got over 150 so was my hematologist. I don't really want to go into a long story. But my body is fried from 10 years of bad meds.
There is no way I can donate blood without platelet transfusions...
I can't donate blood. Platelets are to low. Endo did suggest lowering dose. Mayo clinic said stop immediately. My counts where on the high end even before I started HRT. I had my counts checked every couple weeks. So no bad doc here. Mayo is known for staying inside the box. They practice...
I wasn't given a choice. I had to stop HRT due to high RBC 6.02 Hema 18.4 HCT 54.4. I can't donate blood due to low platelets. They where ok for awhile but now in the 80's. This really sucks. I was feeling great. But I was starting to have physical issues like blurred vision. I was unable to...
I know of several people that have switched to Methyl B12 in a sub c form because of a more stable metabolazation of the medication. The fat seems to slow it down leaving them a more stable delivery system that IM. This might be the same with T.
I am speaking of people with Pernicious Anemia...
I started on a 200mg shot ever other week. I have since splitt them to 100mg every week. I really seem to be crashing and feeling like crap about 3 days after shot. Also seems more difficult to regulate my pernicious anemia(b12) after I started HRT.
Yes it sort of sucks. It's hard enough to keep the pernicious anemia in check. It would seem that I Am going to be stabbing myself all the time. My only real concern is the chance of PV. I already have elevated Hemoglobin @ 17.7 and hematocrit at 52. Wouldn't mind dumping blood but I need my...
