I went to an HRT clinic in Florida 2 years ago. The Dr put me on protocol of HCG (250 units prior to weekly injection), cypionate (180 mg/wk) and arimidex (.5 mg after weekly injection). I regrettably had to quite HRT protocol after 6 months due to cost issues. I recently changed local GP. He wanted to revisit issue of hypogonadism due to ongoing issues with depression, anxiety, lethargy. Blood test results indicated low T and high estradiol. I started HRT protocol beginning of last month (September 2013). I started with 4 pumps of androgel 1.62%. I had my blood drawn 4 weeks later. My TT improved to normal range, but cost of androgel was issue as insurance would not cover it. Dr. prescribed cypionate at 200 mg per week and arimidex at .5 mg per day (dosage too high- adjusted myself to .25 mg EOD). Dr. will not prescribe HCG as HRT clinic did.
Initial HRT protocol dramatically increased quality of life. Hoping this time around does the same. I'm extremely out of shape and unable to motivate myself to do anything. I've been seeing a psychiatrist who continues to prescribe anti-depressants, stimulant, etc. with minimal success.
Nothing now...fighting depression so I have a lack of energy/interest in anything
