Well, the insulin would lower the blood sugar, but i thought ketosis arose from depleted glycogen stores rather than low blood sugar. Im a diabetic, and when i go hypo (low blood sugar) i doubt i immediately enter ketogenesis because my glycogen stores are still well stocked.
Also, if you take...
Okay, was wondrering what everyones thoughts were on cheating.
When you wanna cheat and have one big greasy meal (chinese/pizza),
do you just say the hell with it and just have the meal while eating the same the rest of the day? Or do you account for the extra calories and maybe skip a meal or...
Okay, i was able to get a little more info on why bodybuilders benefit from insulin however, its implications mean that diabetics can also make use of this property. Having consulted my diabetic physician, i got the following info, however, even he was still unsure and this is all he could give...
Sorry, been out the game for a bit.
What you say above is in fact the complete opposite of what actually occurs. Insulin sensitivity is the measure of the sensitivity of the muscle cells to insulin, not the bodies ability to produce it.
An extreme case of insulin resistance is in Type II...
Yeah I agree, we need some Insulin experts on here to tell me where Im going wrong. They were some very interesting articles there, thanks a lot. Definately helping to clear the haze. The only thing is, why do non-diabetics need to inject insulin to have these effects? Surely they can just eat...
Great post, I keep thinking bout jumpin on the roid wagon having tried 1-ad and 1-test etc. Am 21 but havin read that Im gonna keep up the research for longer.
Hey, the 10g/I.U. is crap and it varies immensely between individuals. Personally I don't think insulin works but then this forum is now topped up with my posts on insulin saying this so i won't go on (check em out to see what I mean).
One question though to elijah, are IM injections much more...
Interesting thread. Having read this im not sure anyone is gaining anything from using insulin. DTOX is the only guy who says hes gained, and im thinking that is only because of the extra carbs he's been taking in. IMHO insulin does jack for the non-diabetic. For more info chack out LAWNSAVERS...
Hey, if you care for your buddy keep him away from the insulin. Christ, its so easy to overdose on that shit if you don't know what you're doin. Im a diabetic and i know what a very small amount does. If he shoots to much then he'll nearly be dead within 2 hours, a coma is more likely.
No I do not think it is morally wrong. This is coming from an insulin dependent diabetic. The reason for my thinking this is that I cannot see in any way how insulin benefits non-insulin dependent diabetics. The only thing it has the potential to do is put you in a coma. I know, ive been close.
Hi, ive created this thread cos I think most people are missing my posts in the sticky on insulin in the articles thread. Its basically a discussion on insulin use by non-diabetic bodybuilders. Im an insulin dependent diabetic thus i don't produce insulin naturally. I therefore rely on insulin...
Glad somebody finally saw this and has joined the discussion. Was thinking i may create a new thread cos since this is a sticky, may people are missing it.
Anyway, in response to your post:
GH gut: i think its highly unlikely that insulin would cause this since insulin, unlike GH, does not...
