How much have you guys been able to lower LDL cholesterol

About 20 years ago I had a mostly blocked artery that came close to giving me a fatal hear attack, but it was discovered in time and fixed with an angioplasty. Afterwards I tried a very low fat diet to improve blood lipids. After a month of very strict dieting, my cholesterol was the worst it...

    long term trt users.. libido?

4.5 years on TRT (age 75). Morning boners: Seldom any before TRT, about the same now, but perhaps a little better. AI: no. Dose: 100 mg test E5D (equivalent to 140 mg/week). Blood levels at top of range. Libido (libido meaning interest, not erectile functioning): Libido increased...

    Question about Total Test level

I just looked up the definition of biweekly. The term is ambiguous. It can mean either twice a week or once every two weeks.

Guys that have been on trt for over 5 years

    1) My doctor asked me if I wanted to try TRT as a treatment for osteoporsis that was not improving using Fosamax. A blood test had showed low test. I had not brought up the subject of TRT. 2) I started at age 70. I am now 75. 3) Not much difference in how I felt. However, muscle strength...

    Question about Total Test level

I totally agree. 1000 ng/dl works great for me. No problems with hemocrit, lipids, prostate. No AI necessary. Great for muscle growth, fat loss, and lean appearance.

    Minimum TRT Dosage Questions

A minimum acceptable dose is about 100 mg/week. A few people are satisfied with a little less than that (maybe 80 mg/week), but most are not. At your dose of 50 mg every 2 weeks, you will probably not raise your TT levels at all. Your hormone system seems to have set your TT level at about...

Weight & Strength Gains Beginning TRT

Strength gains After starting TRT 4 years ago, all my lifts in the gym increased by 25 to 30% within a few months. Since then some slow gains, but not much. My weight never changed much.

Posted as fatigued cyclist here is blood work advice please

Good to hear from a fellow cyclist. I'm 5'7", 147 lbs, 75 yo, and cycle over 4000 mi/year. Looking at your blood results, HCT is too high. You should donate blood. HDL is great. LDL is a little on the high side. Your test dose is above average and so is your test blood level, but I am very...

Donating Blood and high RBC but low iron

I believe a hematocrit of 57 is very unhealthy. You need to get it down.

    Hello and Testosterone discussion

I am 74 years old and have been using TRT for almost 4 years. I keep my test levels at or a little above the top end of the normal range. I am very happy with my results. Cycling is my favorite recreation, and TRT has improved my cycling tremendously. I am now the fastest guy and fastest...

    dosage testosterone cypionate prescription

A reasonable starting dose would be 0.5 ml twice a week. That means 1 ml/week (100 mg of test) so you have a 10 week supply. Injection frequency should be no less often than weekly and most people get best results injecting twice a week.

Your TRT experience, what positive changes you noticed first?

75 mg/week is not enough for someone who weighs 230 lbs. Total T of 531 ng/dL is mediocre and it won't do much.

New to TRT - how to manage Hematocrit?

I just donated at the Red Cross. They asked about injections you take NOT prescribed by a doctor. I could honestly answer none.

3 years on TRT wondering about my current bloodwork

How do you feel? T of 424 isn't great, but might be OK if you feel good.
