Ok guys your opinions and knowledge please... Swuareezay im sure you'll have something to add here...

The fat content in eating 6 boiled eggs... would you consider that to be too high? just enough for one meal? enough for the day when trying to stay lean?

fat content for a meal should depend on how you have your diet set up for your self calorie wise and macro break down wise.

6 whole eggs is only 30g fat as it is any ways...so just adjust your calories/macro's for the rest fo the day.

EDIT: and as far as Suareezay answer would go it would probably look something like this:

"Questions like this make me want to shoot my self in the face"

"The fat content in eating 6 boiled eggs... would you consider that to be too high? just enough for one meal? enough for the day when trying to stay lean?"
becuase it a completely open ended, opinion based based question with no real answer.

haha not this one adi, this is a legitimate question :laugh3:

the answer to this question, like most others, is "it depends".

if youre eating 6 meals a day with 30g of fat each, this could possibly be a problem. Even more so if youre eating adequate protein and large amounts of carbs - among other things, the calories will be crazy high.

If some of your meals are higher carb/lower fat and you wanted to incorporate a high fat/low carb meal sometime during the day, then you would be ok.

It also depends on how you personally respond to higher fat intake. Some people do best when fat makes up 15% of their total calories (on the low side for most), while some people do better when fat makes up the majority of their calories and they keep carbs very low.

Generally as long as your overall calories are in check, and fat is somewheres in the neighborhood of 20-30% of total calories, then youre fine. Some may argue that the high cholesterol content could be a problem, but from what read dietary cholesterol doesnt seem to affect arterial cholesterol levels.

With eggs don't just focus on the fat. They are a good source of protein and other nutrients. I eat 6/day.

If you are concerned with the fat then use a egg/egg white mix. The egg whites will cut back on some of the fat, but still keep the protein. I actually like to do this more than eating plain egg whites. I find they have no taste, but with a few eggs mixed in they area lot better for taste, but they don't have all the fat that whole eggs have.

My vote: Whole egg + egg white mixture.

lol, no problem Suareezay

i think everything you just said, is more or less what i tried to get across with a lot less words. but atleast we all seem to be on the same page... :eyes:
