Used to lift seriously a few years back then stopped. . .
Age:23
Weight: 179
Height: 5' 8''
Body Fat: 19%
GOAL: 10% BF 170lbs
Recent diet has been pretty poor and i havent been in the gym much until about 2 weeks ago, so its like a fresh start. Was probably eating 3000 calories a day, a large portion coming from alcohol pretty much 7 nights a week. Most of my snacking is late night too, but my clock is different as i wake up at about 11am each day and go to sleep between 2am and 3am.
Used some online calculations which estimated my TDEE is 2300-2600 calories, so im dropping to 2000 calories.
Was planning on just doing a simple 40/40/20 diet. Being so out of shape i should get results with anything halfway decent and then i can tweak it once i get my BF lower...
Sound ok? This would be 200g protein, 200g carbs, 45g fat. My trainer seems to kind of know something about dieting but im unclear about his suggestions. He pretty much said 150g protein is plenty and adding more would just turn into fat for me?
My question is... Isnt it better to make up unaccounted calories with protein as opposed to carbs or fats? Or should i be doing something like 30/50/20 ?
Any suggestions/comments appreciated...
*ALSO- i'll probably be running some clen, i dont know how that will affect my TDEE... AND i take amphetamines for ADD which also might affect my TDEE?
