What would be the benefits of brown rice over whole wheat pasta? Or are they a fairly equivalent carb source?
brown rice over ww pasta.. better carb source.. more complex... tastes better...
the term "whole wheat" has got people thinking its just good for them...
this is wrong.. whole wheat is better then white pasta.. or white bread.. or a white bagel... its a slower digesting carb.. but not by much.. so its still a poor carb choice... not the poorest, but poor regardless..
if your bulking i'd say its ok.. if your cutting stay away
I love ww pasta when I'm bulking. High in carbs and calories, and I find I can eat much more of it than I can rice.
Throw some steamed calamari and shrimp over it and your all set.
consider the way pasta is made guys.. its not just wheat.. its hard to find ww pasta that isn't enriched.. maybe a whole foods store. yea..
brown rice is brown rice.. no need to add or switch it up....
but if you wanna talk about almighty.. i would do red kidney beans or sweet potatoes over ww pasta and brown rice any day...
you can bulk or cut eating either
sweet potatoes are a must.. red kidney beans sounds good too.. look at 3j with all the "anabolic" foods..lol i might have to give your diets a shot on my cutter in june.. im running out of foods and ideas..
