can someone give me a good sample diet to lose weight?

I have no idea on how to eat properly to lose weight. Honestly before i thought eating less is better. So id try to eat as little as possible, tiny little portions, and i lost weight like that for a bit.

I used to weight 185 lbs and ive managed to go down to 158lbs by eating less and working out. But i have stopped losing weight. Still eating the same and working out harder and nothing.

So im starting to believe its my diet.

Heres a sample of my diet

Breakfast- Rice cake with peanut butter, or special k with 1% milk

snack- yogurt or granola bar

lunch- grilled chicken with vegetables

snack- fruits

dinner- grilled chicken with a small portion of rice, or whole wheat pasta, sometimes fish with vegetables

I thought this was good before but obviously i have no idea on how to fix it. Is this the reason im not losing anymore weight?:dunno:
 
My goal is to lose 20 lbs , i run on my elliptical for 30-45 mins about 5 days a week. And i do light weight training. Im starting to lift more weights now. Working out a routine with that too
 
I always have success with Atkins, but the problem is trying to keep it reasonable once I reach my goal and not gain it back. They have a great website and you don't need to buy anything special beside lots of meat. I'm down 15 pounds in 3 weeks.

EXACTLY!

And rememeber that everyone is diff. As for the Atkins, ive never tried it and it may work great, but you really dont need that. You just need to figure out your metabolic rate and eat high quality foods 4-6 times daily. High protein, med. fats and low carbs. Plenty of fibrous veggies

No i dont know what a refeed day is. Ill google it now :) lol I am 22 going on 23 in a few months, I weigh 158 lbs . i was 185 lbs when i started trying to lose weight. I am 5'4 or 5'5. and ive never measured my body fat. I can send you a pic though. Ill have to figure out how though im new here
 
atkins diet worked great for my wife with out hitting the gym just being a mom lost 12 lbs in a week
