Can't stay in Ketosis

I have been running a keto style diet for the last four days. I have ran several in the past with GREAT results. However this time around my body keeps getting kicked out of ketosis. I am unsure as to why.

I am doing cardio every am. And training in the evening. My average daily intake is as follows:
3158cal
224g fat
286g protein
9g carbs

I use ketostyx to monitor my ketone levels. They have started showing trace amounts then drop again. Anyone here experinced with this type diet? I only intend on running this one for 7 days. So i have 4 days left. I have dropped about 5lbs scale weight. And physically it is becoming noticable but nothing like the last few times I have ran this style diet.

Have you done anything at all differently? You should definitely be in ketosis. What exactly are you eating? Exactly...

2 tbsp flax seed oil

meal3:
8oz tenderloin

meal4:
2scoops iso flex(post workout)

6oz tenderloin
2cups spinach
2tbsp flax seed oil

224g fat
9g carbs
286g protein

looks like your calories are too high..keto has a set calorie limit..
the diet you are doing is atkins diet.i think keto is 2500 cals..also sometimes the sticks don't show..i usually go by urine smell..

I have ran 3000cal before on this style diet with good results. And with the calculations for this diet and where I am at physically it works out to around 3500cal. So for the diet I am attempting my cals are a little low. I just had a killer workout, I am lethargic and have the shakes. I am going to pee on my keto stick right now..........

Its showing a bit of trace amounts, but very vague on the strip.

What is the urine supposed to smell like?

The only thing that I can think of that I am doing differently is taking greens first thing in the a.m.

when i did the keto diet i only registered on the stix the first couple weeks..once i did a carb up , they just showed trace amounts...if you are burning fat don't worry about the sticks..when i was in ketosis my urine smelled like onions..its a distinct smell you'll know when you smell it

I am finished the diet now. I only run it for 7 days at a time. I don't function weel after the 5th day or so. But I yeild great results from it. I dropped 4% this go around. But I was also coming back to training after a 2 month time off.

Lets see. Have you ever heard of a fellow by the name of Dr. Mauro Di Pasquale? He was "the founder" of this metabolic diet which is a keto diet in latter terms. if you never been to his web your should check it out it's metabolicdiet.com. Anyways, He said if you wanna make your body go into that metabolic shift from using carbs as energy to using fat as energy then you must allow yourself to be on the low carb for 12 days starting on a monday and then the next week on saturday and sunday you carb up and monday hit low carb again. He says when you hit your low carb thing on the weekday that it should be only 30g of carb. He says the first week is the hardest. I find this diet super easy to do and follow with great result.
