There are WAY too many factors to consider. It's really trial and error, but you have to make sure that you stay within/take in enough total calories for your goals. But as a general rule of thumb, moderate/high carbs for bulking, moderate for maintaining, low carbs for cutting.

Then read the one called "Cutting Primer".
It will give you a good basis to start with. After that, you go by feeling and the mirror. If you feel you don't have enough energy (due to lack of food and not something else) then add carbs. If your putting on too much chub, cut em back.
