Confused about carb intake when bulking

Should I eat about 2-2.5 times more carbs than protein all throughout the day, or just before and after a workout or what? Do I not want a lot of carbs before bed?

Try to consume the majority of your carbs earlier in the day, these carbs will basically be the fuel you burn, your last meal of the day should be as low in carbs as possible. To many carbs late in the day puts your metabolism in storage mode and what it stores is fat. You can bulk up and minimize fat gains by timing your consumption of carbs along with energy expenditure. Higher carbs before activity, lower carbs when less active.

So basically consume a lot of carbs all day before a workout, then have a post-workout meal high in carbs, then low carb until the next morning?
Thanks

Right after a workout a high carb meal is fine, but if you don't want to store fat around your waistline then eat the majority of carbs earlier in the day eventually ending up with low carb or no carb meal towards the end of the day. This is a healthy way to bulk without getting fat. So that's not simply eat a lot of carbs all day--eat for what you are going to, instead of rewarding yourself for what you did. If you can make lunch your biggest meal of the day, that is often the trick to get more than enough carbs.

protein shake-fairly low in carbs
hard boiled eggs--very low carbs
beef jerky- very low carbs
grilled fish-almost no carbs
chicken breast
pork tenderloin
salad with eggs and grilled meat tossed in it
The possibilities are endless--
