Cost of a physical - rant

This is starting to fustrated me a bit. It seems like no one wants to give me a physical!

I have insurance but it's limited, I think they pay half or whatever they fell like sometimes. I have tried my own doctor and sadly he is on vacation for 3 weeks, the "nurses/PA's" there didn't want to do it..and told me to try another place! So much for being there for two years! I'm not going back!

Today I went to my childhood clinc and as of 2008 was the last time I have been there. They at first said "since you have never been here before $165." I told them I I was here back in 2008. Then I show them the Maximus Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) physical sheet. She mentioned that a lot of people have been coming there with that paper. She told me then the price will be $220, as I was about to pay.."Oh our systems are down, cash only"..

I was like okay I'll be back. I sat in my car and thought, man there has to be a better place. I saw a place on the net that charges $50 for an adult physical, It has real bad reviews though! Like this one dude sat in his undies for like 2 hours in the back.

I live in California, so I didn't see any walgreens or cvs that have clinics in house. I kind of don't blame people for not wanting to do physicals, I honestly don't want some dude touching my sack. I have had physicals before. I had my last one in 2008, and that one sucked..It took three f*cking weeks to complete, because their damn machine was broken..they want to put a heart monitor on me as I walked on their treadmill. AkA get more money out of me(I had insurance back then).

It's like I'm two feet away from Maximus's Protocol, but things like this crap is keeping back. My best friend's mom is a nurse, but I could never ask her..that would be awkward. LOL

Funny this is I have been on this forum before, like 1-2 years ago. I don't think I ever looked into this section until 7 or so days ago.. Damn I have been suffering for 10 freakin years! Well I'm going to keep checking places out and see what I can come up with.

I feel ya Bro,they gave me a hard time when I got mine done wanting to do all this extra stuff I finally had to tell them to ust read the damn paper and do whats on it and thats all. The jackass doctor treated me like a damn criminal, but oh well $100 later I got my paper. A lot of doctors are just ignorant about male hrt...

Tell your doctor that you are hiring an online nutritionist or something and that the consultant wants a physical. OR if you want to be a shit stirrer bastard like me, When your doctor refuses, Ask him is his reason for denial because he does not feel confident in his abilities to perform an adequate physical? That will break his fucking wall. Question his abilities as a doctor.

Go to an urgent care clinic. Took them 5 minutes and they charged around $70 bucks.

Tell your doctor that you are hiring an online nutritionist or something and that the consultant wants a physical. OR if you want to be a shit stirrer bastard like me, When your doctor refuses, Ask him is his reason for denial because he does not feel confident in his abilities to perform an adequate physical? That will break his fucking wall. Question his abilities as a doctor.

I think my doctor gave me a physical at the beginning of this year, I'm not sure. He didn't call it one, but he looked my sack. LOL

Wow just that quick? I've been forgotten a few times in the back for like 45 mins before or it seems like it! I think there is one a few miles away, I'm going to check em out.

Takes my dr a good 1/2hr to do my annual. No issues though.

My buddy's mom said there is a real cheap clinic that specializes in physicals ect. I'm going to check them out! I may be in for a wait though.

I'm pretty sure you can have a Chiro do the physical as well. May want to give that a try.

It's been suggested here before that the easiest thing to tell the doc is that you need the physical for a job you're trying to get. If they ask what kind of job, make something up like a forklift driver or a machine operator.

I guess I was lucky. I had my physical done at the end of September. I dropped the form off at noon and asked them if they would give it to the Dr.. I also requested for a prescription for the blood work. They called back @2 and said it's all filled out, and asked if I wanted them to fax it to Chip, I said YES.

I agree with immediate care, they are good, thorough, and will fill out the paperwork for cheap.

Yea man I don't remember physicals being such an hassle.. Then again Christmas is around the corner. I have anxiety so sometimes it's hard for me to just get up and go..like today I went into a clinic and I'm usually comfortable going into these places, but I was sweating like crazy.However it may be their lights, I was like 2 inches away.. me being 6'8 and all lol..

Well looks like ill be waiting till January. I tried clinics, urgent cares and chiropractor..the b*tch working in the chiropractor's office had a shitty attitude.. ah no we don't do physicals, this is a chiropractor office. Damn just say no.. like I was wasting her precious time.
