I am a 22 year old male, and think my testosterone levels are low. I have no insurance. How much does it cost to get tested for levels, and then the shots / treatment ?
privatemdlabs.com order the "hormone panel for females" it is cheaper than the hormone panel for males, but it will give you total test count and e2 as well as complete blood count

It will give you LH and FSH as well which will point you towards which type of hypogonadism you have, if you do in fact have it. The labs should cost you about $50. Here is a coupon code for 15% off.

On your "if you need it" question... Treatment cost can vary pretty widely. Best to see what your numbers are and if you truly have an issue, start down the road with your doc and read the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) section on here like mad, so you're up to speed. It's not a quick cut and dry process. Many doctors have a severe lack of understanding on the subject or even worse negative view altogether. And most doctors don't want to hear your well-read opinion either. If you legitimately have a problem and your regular doctor doesn't want to help, find another one that will.
But numbers first! And by all means, come back and get feedback on the results! We're here to help man.
It tests for Estrodial (e2) serum. If you think you have a more significant estrogen sensitivity issue, there would be a totally separate test for that, which at the moment I can't identify, but I'll have a look.

No, it's not sensitive - but it does give a pretty good ballpark figure in my opinion. IIRC sensitive is 10 points off from serum, so if you come back at 45, sensitive would be (I believe) 35pg/mL,

Don't want to jack this thread, just thought it was a good question and I have been thinking of getting this same test before I have mine done by the doc.
