Cottonseed oil lowers bad cholesterol and raises the good

I just found an article that says cottonseed oil raises good cholesterol and lowers the bad. I sometimes like frying food and making my own salad dressing (oil, seasonings, and light vinegar)...so now I will be trying to modify my ingredients to make the outcome more healthy.
What oils do you prefer to use and besides taste, is there a good reason for your choice?

pinz, How is the taste on that Cottonseed oil? I Have a family history of high cholesterol. If this is true and cottonseed does help lower it that would be amazing.

I fry everything in coconut oil. come to think of it the ONLY thing I fry is eggs. damn does it taste good. and im not really a big coconut fan either.
