diet help...i've never had full blown abs

Okay, well i dropped from 225 to 200, i am not sure exactly what my bodyfat % is but this is the diet i was on when i dropped the weight.

My protein shakes have 35 grams of protein in them.

Cardio 45 Minutes on empty stomach.i would keep my heart rate under 130. 10.0 incline and 3.3mph

Meal 1: 6 Egg whites w/ 1/2 cup or 1 cup of regular oatmeal
Meal 2: Protein Shake w/ flax
Meal 3: 99% Lean Turkey Patty w/ brocoli and colliflour (35g protein)
Meal 4: 99% Lean Turkey Patty w/ brocoli and colliflour (35g protein)
**Workout followed by 30 minutes of cardio
Meal 5: Protein Shake immediately after workout & cardio
Meal 6: Talapi or Orange roughy (white fish) w/ vegetables
Sleep.

I got so sick of this diet after 3/4 months in i had to recently change it up because i would be hungry and stare at my food and not want to eat it. i started to binge on junk food, this is how i failed the last time i tried to do a cutting diet. this is what i have been doing for the past week or so. So far i am happy with it and i haven't eaten any junk yet.

Cardio - 45 min Empty stomach 10 incline 3.3 walk

Meal 1 - 6 egg whites 1 yolk w/ 1cup oatmeal
Meal 2- Shake W/ 1tbspn flax
Meal 3- Chicken breast w/ 1/2 cup brown rice not sure how many oz the chicken breast
Meal 4- Chicken breast w/ 1/2 cup brown rice not sure how many oz the chicken breast
**Workout followed by 30 minutes of cardio
Meal 5: Protein Shake w/flax immediately after workout & cardio
Meal 6: Lean red meat or orange roughy/talapia w/ Veggies

What can i improve/change in this diet to help stay on track? what should my final cutting diet look like?? i was thinking of keeping these carbs maybe for about 4 to 6 weeks and then cut them out again. I am just going to keep the oatmeal in the morning....i also use a lot of hot sauce with all my foods and just starting to use bar b q sauce with my chicken.....Also, am i doing the right cardio?

do you have refeed meals set up?

you dont look bad at all bud.. i'd say your at 13%ish...

has your diet stalled? have u stopped losing weight?

thank you, yeah i have been stuck at 200lbs even when i was on clen/t3 my weight and body fat stayed the same.

I'm eager to follow this and see what Jamyjamjr has to say ... curious how many days you lift/train ... looks to me like you are on the low end in terms of protein and calories for a solid 200lbs?

thanks, i train 5 days a week....one body part a day with about 5 - 6 excercises and 4 sets each....i do my abs three times a week as well....
 
can you do empty stomach cardio in the mornings???


also, do you cheat?? have you had a "cheat day" in the week?

im guessing your leptin levels have depleated.. refeeds would work wonders for you

yeah i do cardio empty stomach 45 minutes....and i have 1 cheat meal every sunday, i just go get a pizza or some hotwings etc.....

change your refeed days... drop your fats.. and over 4 of your six meals.. consume 300g of clean carbs....


so your fat intake should drop down to about 30g... its not a cheat day anymore, its a refeed...

do that for two weeks, if you dont start to drop weight again.... drop 300 calories from your diet the next week.. if no change, drop another 200...

dieting is tedious my friend...
 
Why is it preferable to do cardio in the am on an empty stomach? Im in a very similar situation where my abs are barely visible and I dont have a cheat day. My version of a cheat day is treating myself to a single slice of whole wheat pizza once every couple weeks.

I only do cardio twice a week, usually in the evening about an hour or two after dinner.

refeed is a controlled cheat day.. where your not really cheating cuz your eating good calories and carbs..

drop your fats as low as possible and eat away at white bagels, white rice, white pasta, bread.. etc..

leptin levels have a direct effect on weight loss.. as you drop weight your leptin levels decrease. thats why most people will drop weight quickly and then go stagnant..

okay, so during the week consume 300g of carbs....and for my cheat day which was today i can have pizza? white pasta, white rice and white bread? first time doing this and i want to make sure i do it right, thank you!

no, during the week follow a clean diet.. on sunday, forget about your cheat day and instead eat 300g of clean carbs while reducing your fat

yea you probably restored your leptin levels in the process... that's what happens...

ull eat more and end up looking skinnier..
