Filtering large amounts of gear

Im talking by the kilogram. Is there a way the UGLs do it? Im guessing they aren't pumping out 1000s of vials by syringe or vacuum pumps.

Anyone know of a good way or someone I can get in contact with?

i think they use vacuum filtration, def not syringe filters

I was thinking they would have something above vacuum filters. If not they probably have multiple vacuums running at once

I've heard of 6 filter tops being run off a vacuum pump so thats 6 litres of gear to be filtered by one pump in one run. You should be able to get the volume pretty high if you're using a vacuum pump.

They use Stainless Steel huge multi-funnel manifold systems like these that require pre-filters and filters and electric vacuum pumps. You can find them on alibaba if the seller is legit or sigma aldrich etc but they're not cheap.

If you want to produces in batches of 5 or more liters the multi-funnel are a lousy choice. I would go to a pressure or vacuum system with a big membrane diameter.

For big quantities you MUST prefilter the solution before the typical 0.45 0.22 otherwise the filters will become useless in no time.
