flax or fish

Flax is great and has the ALA, of course, but you miss out on the DHA and EPA if you don't use fish or other marine oils as well. So personally, I use both (although I use more krill oil than fish oil nowadays), and that's what I recommend others do as well. I also use coconut oil a fair bit.

Well I use both. I would say that Fish Oil is better for the body than Flaxseed oil. Fish oil has anti-inflammatory properties. If your issue is with brain functioning, mood, or joint pain, go with fish oil. If you have bowel irregularities or skin problems, go with flaxseed oil. If you are on a blood thinner or have problems with clotting, fish oil may not be for you.
