im looking to get ripped with muscle. would a weight gainer supplement help in that way or would that just bulk me up?

depends on the rest of your diet, if all you have all day is that weight gainer you may not gain anything. on the other hand if you are eating your 6 meals a day and getting enough calories, then taking weight gainer on top of that you should gain! as for getting you ripped, that's not really the reason for a weight gainer, now you could add some lean mass and change you muscle/fat ratios a little making you looked more defined but there's a lot more then just taking a gainer that plays into that and we i could go on and on! kinda hard to answer that question, figure out exactly what your looking to do and get help with , then post some info about your self and lets go from there! good luck!

Ok, youre not gonna put on 20lbs of quality muscle in two weeks so get that idea out your head right away. Now, judging by your avatar pic you could use a weight gainer cause you look like and ecto and a hardgainer. Just dont go overboard with it.

agree with estray 100%, i didn't even see the "20lbs in two weeks" part, but if that could be done this board would be called gainerology and there would be no need for aas. just be sure to get as many (AS MANY) calories from your food as you possible can! use the gainer as an addition and not as a replacement, and be sure to get a good quality gainer, not something loaded with sugar and high gi carbs!

haha ight. and i wasnt planning on gaining 20 in 2 weeks that was just to get people to read this ahahah. do u guys know any good weight gainers and wat to mix them with?

labrada lean mass60 is very good and very good carbs, dymatize high protein mega gainer looks good as well but never tried it. N-large2 by prolab always worked great to add mass for me but its a little higher in sugar and not the best carb sources. if you really wana pack on mass you could go with the ABB extreme XXL premade drinks, they have the highest amount of sugar and loaded with carbs but they work! i actually use them a lot for post workout and sometimes just to add calories when needed, but they can be a little expensive. obviously the leaner you wana stay the lower gi carbs you want but honestly going off of your pic and the fact that your a hard gainer i wouldn't worry about it. just get on some supplements sites and compare products and prices, pick one and drink up! :) just remember use as an addition NOT a replacement!

have u bought from that second site???

Eat lots of protein, take protein powder, eat a lot of carbs, don't be afraid of some fat in your diet, and lift correctly. You must get enough rest to grow, very important. You might gain 20 pounds of muscle in 6-12 months.

i have not ordered from the second site but they have a huge selection and i hear they are very good. as for saveonsupplements.com, they are always great and usually get my order in like three days! again eating real food is always the best thing to do as said above but you also have to be realistic, i know with my day to day life it can be vary hard to eat the amount of calories in need so the drinks can be a life saver! you can also make your own and it would be a little cheaper but i just like the convenience, especially with the RTD! as for paying for sugar if you go with the right gainer you don't have to worry about it, people are very informed about quality of carbs today and the supplement companies know this. the two i listed first are actually very low in sugar and the carbs are very low gi, complex carbs so you can add better quality mass without the extra fat you would get with the "old fashion gainers".again just remember to get as much as you possibly can from whole food, but adding a good quality gainer to the mix can work wonders trust me! honestly the only supplements i really but besides creatine are gainers, but that's only because i sometimes have no choice if i wana get the calories needed!

I gained 10lbs last week, but I was on vacation and drank 2 cases of beer :)

Just water weight that I'll drop soon.

I like ON 100% whey and creatine mono. So far, it's been good for me. Now that the beach trips are over for me, I plan on a 6 month bulk until December. The best thing you should do is go to fitday.com and start tracking your calories. Enter EVERYTHING you eat for one week to get a base. Then you can add 500 calories for a while to see how that works for you. If you don't gain by adding 500, add some more.

Later.
