Glycerin as an injectable?

Could I use glycerin as the carrier vessle for the hormone and supersolvent mix? I have it made up and the glycerin is 50% and it is staying in solution. Will this work to use the Glycerin as the vessel? Thanks

From what I have read, injecting glycerin is dangerous...........injecting glycerin can cause a rapid osmotic shift, and cause red blood cells to burst.

Doesn't sound like a good idea.
