Hi Girls,... I thought that since some of us are either currently dieting or will be in the future, it might be nice to offer up some of our most favorite, healthy, dieting meals. The nice high protein, moderate carb ones we might use during our 12 weeks. Here's a couple of my most favorites

~ My protein/oatmeal shake. It's prob done by alot of others, but I crave this baby when I'm dieting! It's just 2 scoops of my favorite chocolate whey protein and 1/2 cup plain oats in water. I leave it sit in my truck (with a couple ice cubes) and it's just perfect when I'm done working out.

~ Another fave of mine is my turkey-breast chili. I use a lb of turkey breast, brown it in a bit of olive oil, add garlic and a can or 2 of rinsed black/kidney beans. It's pretty yummy.

~ My last is kinda sick... about 10-12 egg whites with 1/2 cup LF cottage cheese. I might throw a few small pieces of jalapenos in it for flavor.

~ Last but not least are my "snacks". I eat Low-sugar popcycles or chew sugar free gum when I need something sweet. My poor husband... all the eggs and sorbitol in the gum... it's hard to get to sleep with me at night:fart:
 
I just love eggs/egg whites, even when I'm not dieting. I like to put a carton of egg whites and 1 whole egg and make an omelette. In the middle i put cottage cheese, peppers, and onions. Then on the top I spoon a couple of tablespoons of hot salsa. Healthy and yummy!!:D
 
My favorite healthy protein shake is:
2 scoops of chocolate whey isolate
about 8 oz of water, sometimes more
1 banana
2 tablespoons of natty peanut butter
4-6 icecubes
Blend up and voila, there you have a Chocolate Monkey!

If you want to use skim milk you can, i just usually make mine with water. :)
 
I kinda made up a dish for when I'm low carbing it. I call it Salsa Chicken.

Chicken breasts baked topped with salsa. Topped with cheddar (optional).

It comes out very tender and tastey. :)

I hate chicken but with the salsa it tastes a lot bettter mmm, everyone should try it;)
