Got some questions about meal preperation

Hi guys,
I'm starting a bulking diet, after reading tons of 3J's threads and his answer to several questions I think I got my meal plan properly sorted out. Big thanks for all the info 3J.

I'll be buying some lunch boxes to take with me to work, also a scale for weighing the food.

How often do you meal prep? A description of the process would be great.
How long can cooked chicken stay in a sealed box in the fridge?
I am supposed to weigh the food after I cook it, right? For example when the chicken has lost it's water weight in the cooking process.

Chicken breasts can vary so much in price here in Iceland, is there any significant different in the nutritional value of cheap vs. expensive chicken? Which one do you go with?

Thanks

lots of good questions there. I'll just answer one.

regarding what 'chicken' or meats to buy. Well if you are bulking you might as well go with the fattier cuts of meat , or the whole chicken skin on and dark meats with chicken as well, as often times the fattier cuts are cheaper, YET are far more calorie dense, nutritious, and contain more fats and nutrients then the lean cuts (way better then the priceir boneless skinless thighs).

Hope it goes well, you can prep foods way in advance, say bake a Lasagna on Sunday, tag it and bag it in the freezer and then take it to work and throw it in the microwave and voalla. With a nice salad on the side, you'll be the envy of every coworker. 4-6 months for cooked chicken stored in freezer. As for weighing it depends on the food but your on the right track. Is pork available in your area? Pork has almost the same nutritional food properties as chicken so if pork is cheaper try it out and or throw it into the mix. Keep us updated on your progress, good luck!

I'll use this thread for further dieting questions I have.

Do eggs lose nutritional value (protein, fat, carbs) if they are boiled?

Say I weigh a.piece.skinless boneless chicken breast raw at 7oz
I bake it, and it comes out 5oz, the nutritional value u going to be the same as I weighed it raw at 7oz meanwhile.it shrank down to 5oz after done baking
W
I always weight.my.meat.raw.and rice.cooked.brother

The packs of chicken breasts I buy are usually around 13 lbs. I cook it all and put in the fridge . I go through it so fast it doesn't have a chance to go bad . My last meal of the day is steak . I like it cooked fresh but you need to be careful it will brown in the fridge in only a couple days . I now freeze individually and thaw daily . I do boil in bag rice and steam in bag veggies as needed . I usually spend 20-30 every morn getting ready . 3J is my coach by the way and an excellent investment . I have a meal prep lunchbox that was worth every penny . Been using it since summer . I needed 27oz. of chicken per day for my current evolution so I weighed it , cooked it and weighed it again . It was roughly 18 cooked so I just go with that daily .

Nice packing, you can feed a whole crew with that :)

Yeah Im thinking about ordering an isobag. The cheapest chicken breasts available here are $8 for 1lbs. Biggest packing is roughly 4lbs.
