ok lets say you need 3,000 cals a day.
for bulking it says 1.5 -2.0 pounds of body weight.
lets say you weight 100 lbs.. making this easy ....
100 X 1.5= 150 g of protien.
now how do you fill in the rest of your calorie needs. If you want a 20% fat intake????? do you subtract 150 grams of protien which in calories would be
600 calories. Now you have 2,400 calories now mulyiply .20 then divide 9.
53 grams of fat wich is 477 calories. Now subtract that from 2,400. now to find out how many carbs do you take the rest of the avalablie calories and divide it by 4? that would give me 480 grams of carbs. is this right or wrong?

3000 calories
150g protein = 600 calories
3000 calories x 20% = 600 calories = 67g fat
3000- the 1200 calories already accounted for = 1800 calories = 450g carbs

this comes out to a 20/60/20 p/c/f split, which isnt the best, but a 100 pound person wouldnt be eating 3000 calories a day anyway.
