Hey everyone noob here looking for some help and advice.

I am 24 years old and a female i am 4'11 weigh 93lbs.

Alright in the last 2 years i started losing weight esp in my breast. (MY cup sized dropped down from a C to a double A cup now....) I found out i had celiac disease which could have been the cause of some of problems through out my life. Anyway my boyfriend finally convinced me to get my hormones checked out. I get a lot of sebaceous acne. Its pretty bad. Ive never gone on a cycle or anything. I got my results today and i am no expert but they look like CRAP.

My hormones:
FSH-5.2 mIU/mL
LH-9.0 mIU/mL
Estradiol- 83.97 pg/mL
Test serum-20.1 ng/dl
free test-.60 pg/mL

So what do you guys think? How bad are my results??

What should or can i do to fix my levels??

If i put on more weight do you think i will gain my breast back? or are they gone forever??

THANKS!!

It would help people if you could also list your reference ranges for the lab results. Especially estradiol which changes relative to where you are in your monthly cycle.

Thats my problem these stupid results dont give me any of that information. =/ i think my estradiol is really low. My doctor told me i had imbalances but was very vague. =______=' i dont think she knows to much about hormones. Even though i am a female i know a lot about male hormones and ranges for them but when it comes to female hormones forget about it. lol

This may help you. Here are my wife's lab results and reference ranges. Note that it was in her ovulation phase. She's in her 30's. What phase were you in? Women's hormones changenanlot during the month whereas men's are much more stable.

WOW! thanks a bunch for that. It was taken 3 days after my period! I dont know why it doesnt have ranges on it. Im a little annoyed because it doesnt make sense to me. im guessing that the ranges would be the same. So my estradiol is very low. hmmm. im thinking if i start gaining weight it will go up.

Actually, estradiol really drops after your period. See below.

ESTRADIOL
Estrogen is the predominant female hormone; estradiol is the predominant form of estrogen produced in the ovaries. Normal estrogen levels, according to Fertility Plus hormone charts, on days two to three of the menstrual cycle are 25 to 75 picograms per milliliter (pg/ml). A higher level on day two or three may indicate peri-menopause, a time when the body's egg reserve is running low, according to a 2005 article by Jerilynn C. Prior in "Endocrine." Estradiol decreases in menopause to less than 32 pg/ml, and often drops to less than 10 pg/ml, according to Military Obstetrics and Gynecology.

During the menstrual cycle, estradiol rises to 200 to 300 pg/ml per mature follicle, according to the Malpani Infertility Clinic. As menstruation approaches, estradiol again falls to day-two levels if pregnancy has not occurred. If a woman becomes pregnant, levels remain high.

Try using Private MD - Buy Lab Tests Online and get the Hormone Panel for Females. It costs about $50, includes reference ranges and you usually get the results emailed to you in 24 hours. Get tested in you Ovulatory Phase next time - so just before you start menstruating. Then you will have a better idea of what your range is. It sounds like you tested your trough estradiol levels.

Looking at your thyroid may be helpful. Vitamin D is a good one to check. This lab place has an anemia panel that checks your Iron, Ferritin, and B12 levels too.

I tried troubleshooting this, but female hormones are so damn complicated @___@

I totally agree. Much more complicated than men's. They keep changing!!!

I know very little. I tried to help my wife too and picked up a bit. She was feeling fatigued. We still don't know why her estradiol was above normal. Going to her doctor was an waste of time and money.

Yes i have low iron and ferritin, but my b12 is 945 so its good. My thyroid last time i checked was decent i cant remember the number 2.9 maybe. Yeah idk what my doctor did. Ill do the 50 lab. Ill have to wait for next month since im at the end of my ovulatory phase! Lol thank you so much for the help!

Also agree with the women hormones they suck. Changing every week. Lmao. I know about the cycles and hormone drops but numbers are my problem finding and considering my labs dont tell me much i dont have much to go on. Lol =_=

TSH of 2.9 puts you pretty close to being hypothyroid. 3.0 is considered hypothyroid. You should check that again. Perhaps spring for the full thyroid profile.

You may want to look into getting a new doctor too. :-(

Yeah im starting to think that too. She used to be so good. She said i used to have hypothyriod. Ill check my labs when i get home see what it was. It mightve been 1.9 i know there was a .9 lol ;p
