High BP on blast

Guys, I'm 51 and been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 2 years [200mgs a week]. I'm in the middle of a 12 week bump up to 500mgs a week. Problem is my bp goes up to around 150/77 while on increased dose. I think I've also noticed some palpitations lately also. [Although a lot of stress at work lately] I take hawthorn and coq10, but do not like cardio. I'm 5'9" 185, in excellent shape. My bp goes back to normal at testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose. Should I be worried? I've been told that as long as the bottom # stays in line I'm ok. Any suggestions appreciated.

Blood Pressure Guidelines

Category Systolic Diastolic
Normal <120 AND < 80
Pre-Hypertension 121-139 OR 80-89
Hypertension Stage I 140-159 OR 90-99
Hypertension Stage II > 160 OR >100

My Doc says the bottom number is the one to worry about...

150/77 isn't that high for a 500mg blast. You do realize that thats like putting 4 x the body's normal amount of test in it at least right? lol

800mg/d Potassium
800mg/d Magnesium
1.5g/d Calcium
500mg CoQ-10

Try that. Great for keeping BP in check without having to take statins and shit like that. Make sure you drink plenty of water.

How did you come up with the mgs of each and how much did it help. I'd love to try it. I see you didn't mention garlic or hawthorn. Thoughts?

from an old powerlifting buddy. Wanted to take a more natty approach. took 20-30 points off in a month.

As for HB and garlic, they have never done anything for anything I've tried them with. Garlic keeps ticks away though. lol

A common side effect of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is high hematocrit. When this happens you can donate blood to decrease blood cell mass. What happens when its high is the blood becomes more viscous, making the heart work harder to pump the blood.

Some doctors think you should take a break every 8-12 months.

I believe my issue may be rcb related, because I remember similar palpatations a while back when I tried to run EQ in a blast. I discontinued and it went away. Maybe I'm getting a buildup of hemecrit from testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and blasting. Last physical came back fine[bloodwork] on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose. When you say take a break, how is that possible on trt. I think I will give blood tomorrow' as I still notice subtle palpataions on ocassion. Also upped my intake of cal, mag, and potasium. More input?
