Im 170lbs. 5'8''and I should get 300gms of protein, but if I get a little more sometimes like 330-360 is that too much? since I drink about a gallon of water a day then the protein shouldnt be to bad on the liver right? also if when you pass gas and it smells like you shit yourself does that mean the protein intake is too high or it just comes with life of a BB.
roughly 200 gms are from my N-large shakes and the rest from meals.
thanks all, rook .:40oz:

what do you mix your creatine with to faster flow through your body? and should the eccessive amount of protein only be taken during AS cycles or all the time?

First off large amounts of protein affects your kidneys and yes when consumed in large amounts like anybodybuilder or even myself it is harmfull because your kidneys must work so hard to filter it out. just drink a lot of water throughout the day, most believe that does help. As for the creatine take it with dextrose to get it absorbed faster.

Try to get more natural protein, don't rely too heavily on shakes, it's ok but at leats try cause there are a lot of good foods out there to eat. Also, drink around a gallon -2 gallons of water, i believ it helps, so does my doctor, it helps pass shit through your system, the bad gas is usually from FIBER, but preotein does it too but it doesn't mean you're taking too much. It's really hard to consume TOO much protein through out the day.

The answer to your question depends on your goal. If you are in a cutting cycle, then high protein intake for you would be fine. However, if you are trying to gain mass, then I believe that your protein intake is too high. Regardless, 360g of protein for your weight is way too much...your body is wasting a lot of it (your crapping your $$ away!).
Since you are 170lbs, I am assuming you are trying to gain. IMO I feel that you need to focus on a good carb intake along with a moderate amount of fat and protein intake. When you take in that much protein, your body fills up with very little calories. This does not help you grow. Do not ignore your carb intake when trying to gain or you will not gain. I would look at taking in around 225g of protein.

thanks Panteracfh, you always come out of nowhere when I need help bro. that link helps alot. I was trying to figure out why Iwasnt gaining on Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) and 5000cals, my carbs were too low but no body ever asked me about my carbs I had no idea they were important to grow I thought It was mostly the cals and protein. I need 437g of carbs to bulk had no idea!
thanks bro, rook.

when you smell your t-shirt and can smell ammonia you know its too much

happened to me once when i was eating...gee dunno...must have been a kilo of uncooked meat a day (yes i cooked it) plus 200-300g cottage cheese plus a couple protein shakes on a 190lb guy with a 6 day split

sure was fun eating all that BBQ though :D that was when i got my stretch marks on bis and tris (naturally too) so yeah, high prot is goooooood :D
