Excessive arachodonic acid and saturated fats are SOME valid reasons to avoid red meat but this as well as healthy lipid profiles CAN be compensated/corrected with ample use of EFA's.
The perils of red meat have been over-exagerrated for a long time! I eat red meat every day and supp with EFA's (fish oil/Udo's/flax) and I have the lipid profile of a VEGAN.
