Everything has a shit load of sodium in it, If you have too much you can get sore joints as well as bloat. Its not good for your blood pressure either.
Thats a ton of sodium to have in a meal but there are much worse things that chili to be eating.
yeah the problem is that every preservative uses sodium as a counter ion, as well as the fact that it is used as such in many flavor enhancers as well.
I wouldn't fret too much. When on or off bulking/cutting cycles, I would always cycle GHB. The counter ion for that as well is sodium. I was consuming approximately 2grams of sodium right there alone not even counting my meals.
I think really as long as you arent chronically consuming excessive quantities of sodium you should be alright. For the acute consumption, just be sure to drink LOTS of water.
