If its close to the end of the night and u haven't had all your macros\calories should u catch up on them at b4the day is over or start over the next day?

If following a specific plan and counting macros then you should have them all in by the end of the day. Now, having said that, at least in my opinion, if youre, lets say, 1000 calories short. I don't think itd be optimal to eat those 1000 and then go to straight bed. Some may argue, some may not, but that's how I see it.

Main thing if your counting macros is to take what you allowed per day and just divide it up evenly through your meals and make sure those meals are spaced evenly apart.

And if one day you, for some reason, just cant get them all in, then no big deal. Start over again the next day. Don't sit there and stress. That's probably more counter productive than coming short on the macros lol.

Tx for the inout but ya just for these past couple of days haven't been gettinall my meals in so been catching up at night which makes me feel super bloated but ya from now I won't do that tx again

Im not a nutritional guru or coach by any means. So those guys MIGHT disagree. For me though, I don't think its optimal to eat heavy and go straight to bed. If your hungry, then by all mean go for it. But to sit there before bed and force feed and bunch of food down because you didn't have time during the day to eat it is silly. If for whatever reason you didn't hit your daily mark just make sure youre getting a good slow digesting protein (red meat, whole eggs, whatever) in you before its bed time to keep any catabolism the hell away.

I agree... if you're well down on your macros, the most I'd go to before bedtime would be 50g Casein and throw in up to 80g oats... any more than that and you're asking for issues...

The secret is to keep on top of your intake throughout the day, and plan better in the 1st place!

Yup.....

I used to always eat BIG meals before bed for many years and I actually found since Ive stopped doing that my sleep has improved unbelievably.

Last meal is 1.5-2 hours before bed, if I wake up to pee then I down a shake. That usually happens every single night.

if you're short a few calories before bed...it happens. Just stay consistent as 1/30 days isn't going to change much for you unless you're at Olympia level

better to do it right. It will throw your body out of whack if you have all those at night before bedtime, you'll spend hours tossing and turning while your body tries to digest all of that. Like holmes said above, better to plan right. Discipline Slimdawg.
