i'm looking for a Serious coach... Any takers/suggestions?

gettin big

ok so ive been thinking about getting a coach. i feel pretty confident in my knowledge about training and diet. of course there is always more to learn. as far as gear, ancillaries, hgh, blood work etc... i research on my own and obviously read the threads here lol. i feel that i have a basic understanding and decent knowledge. but that to get to a national and pro level a serious and experienced mentor is necessary.. is there anyone on here who's interested in working with me or has a recommendation?

P.S. i was working with a guy on here but he seems to be far less active now.

Coaches are a waste imo. You know YOU better than anyone..

I have to disagree with you.
Sometimes a little modification in your nutrition plan , training routine , etc by an expert, might make some dramatic changes in your body ,
All you have to do is to choose the right person to work with..
Who wouldn't get real benefits with a guy like austinite for example?

It's always good to have an outside perspective. It's rare for even the best of people to truly be 100% honest with themselves, it's a trait much more rare than folks realize. There's a reason why even pros get coaching.

Plus, good coaches have more experience than one individual will ever be able to get in an entire lifetime. They see what works & what doesn't in the real world, and can eventually learn how to spot which kind of individual category their clients fall into in order to optimize it for them.... along with feedback from the individual as well, of course. Only bad coaches will ~completely~ ignore the concerns of their trainees.

Edit: And everyone is different. If you personally are able to judge yourself with accuracy then cool... but not everyone can do that. Body dysmorphia, for example, is very common in this game.

All you need is a 5-8k budget :x Are you looking for a diet/nutritional coach or a lifting coach or a combination of both?

I would find a pro in my area and contact them. Most of them have websites that list thier rates. I call it Pay to Play. They usally offer the service a couple of diffrent ways. The group sessions are okay; IMO, it's worth the extra money to do one on one. I live close to a large city and have worked out and spent time with a couple of diffrent pros. The best one I have seen several times (15+). This guy is full service and works with me in every aspect from diet, form, routines and AAS. It worth the money. The other thing I'm going to recommend is to find a pro that is close to your age and/or body type.

I started with this guy when I had plateaued and was running out of ideas. I never had considered spending the money for a second opion. A guy in my gym who competes recommend this pro. I went to his site and bought a session. Went in and told the guy where I was and where I wanted to go. He literally put together a diet (sent it to me a couple of days later), a workout routine and an AAS regimen. He also asked that I commit to 4 sessions back to back and then I could come as I thought I need more help. He also requested resent blood work. The next vist he went over my blood work and we hit the weights, the third vist he gave me an updated diet and AAS regiment based on the blood work and other stats we again hit the weights. The next two vista we focused on my weak body parts. At this point I see him every 6-8 weeks. Usally we don't workout. The time now is spent fine tuning diet, AAS and other nuanceses of the game. I did two other sessions with a younger mass monster honestly, I didn't get much out of it. It was painfully clear the guy was a genetic outlier who could not relate to this simple mortal.

Carb cycle contest prep with ^^3J^^ right now and its going great so far.
I'd say hit him up at least for a basic program. Really affordable. Hard to find affordable coaches to have physical appointments with.

I was in the same position as you. I felt I had some knowledge, but I knew that if I was going to get where I wanted to go, I was going to need some help. So I did some research on this site, as well as a few others. Long story short, I've been working with 3J for exactly a year now. I just broke my contest cherry last week. And now that we have a good gauge on where I'm at, and we know the things that I need to work on, we're stepping it up to get to the next level. His knowledge continues to amaze me and his customer service far exceeds what I consider to be my high expectations. I know I am only one of many clients, but I feel as if he is working strictly for me. He explains the reasoning behind what he does, and he explains the pros and cons of every decision before we make them. Not to mention his pricing is more than manageable. My monthly expenditures on food and supplements actually went down bc I quit buying useless supplements that were nothing more than a waste of my money. You honestly cannot go wrong with him. The earlier posts are correct, most so-called coaches are crap, and will only steal your money. Not 3J. Do yourself a favor, and at the very least talk to him. You will not be disappointed.
