My official doctor-recommended test cyp dose is 60 mg every 4 days.
But sometimes I do more and sometimes less. If I have a few weeks when I think I will be doing a lot of exercise/work-outs, I up my dose to 90 mg every 4 days to try to get more benefits from the exercise. Sometimes I travel with little or no opportunity for exercise. In that case I might drop my dose to drop my dose to 60 mg every 6 days thinking that taking any more would have no benefit.
Right before a blood test, I lower the dose and go for 6 or 7 days without an injection because my standard dose of 60 mg every 4 days puts my TT level at the tip of the range and my free Test level at almost twice the top of the range - which my doctor thinks is too high.
Frankly I always feel about the same regardless of the test cyp dose, whether the dose is high or low. I am getting good results: more strength, leaner, more stamina, better sex. I don't have any ups and downs, and I don't feel any different between being on a higher dose vs. being on a lower dose.
So my question is: Is there any reason not to vary the test cyp dose like I have been doing?
Background: I am 72 yo, weigh 150 lbs, and have been on TRT for a year and a half and loving it. I use a 29 gauge 1/2 inch needle injected into my front thigh - painless.
