I was approached by a young man today asking me my routine for chest and arm size. All the veterans out there probably all say the same general workout procedures, knowing the person asking will quit as soon as they wake up the next morning sore. BUT tonight I explained simple diet. (I am not a dietician) He corrected me and said his buddy has some "juice" that will make you grow fast and it is cheap. "How cheap?" I ask. Over the course of 6 months, it costs about $300. "It is cheap because of all the competition on the internet". Upon hearing that I lost my cool and broke the cardinal rule of discussing procedures.
On my soap box, here is my point. Any age out there, if you start true enhancing, you will be spending a minimal of a nice car payment per month. There are no exceptions to this, unless grandma is a chemist.
#2 - You must eat 200g of pure protein PER day. Lets face it, 200 g of just protein gets expensive. After a few days you have to force it down. Your goal should be eating this much everyday for 3 months before you start a cycle. While you do this, train to fatigue and do aerobics like your training for a marathon 5 days a week. WHY? because this is what it takes at a MINIMAL once you do your first "cycle".
#3 Lets say you start IM. After the first few times of going to shallow, or too fast and all the oil shoots out. Or you don't know what the hell a 90 degree angle is, so the needle pokes back out. (yes this happens). This is not something that you can just turn back on and decide to stop. You are committed. If you do stop short of a complete cycle, you still have maintenance to do (PCT). A good cycle start to PCT finish is at least 6 components. Not just one or two.
#4 Without a few years of training and research, how do you know what combination is the best for YOU. We are not all the same. The moderators and veterans mention getting blood tests. This is important, they are not making kick backs on referrals. You do the wrong IM, blood sugar spikes, diabetic coma. The wrong pills, could cause kidney damage.
I wrote this thread because Im tired of all the "claims" of vitamin companies saying they have the next best thing since a loaf of bread. There is so much more too this than injection twice a week. Some of the guys on this site that are running 200 plus pounds shredded, didn't get this way overnight. Or by living on Twinkies. Or by taking the miracle pill.
Future weightlifters and bodybuilders, or even fitness pros, the decisions you make today, you really have to live with the rest of your life. Please be careful and do your research. A good body takes 3-5 years anyway. Spending 6 months researching and training is a drop in the bucket. Don't rush it!!!
