lean meat?

Top round and sirloin steaks are the leanest. Eye round is also a very good lean steak. The best deal at my local grocer are the sirloin steaks. They are very lean and tender as well.

Beef tenderloin does have fat in it and it is very expensive at $14/lb. I can get Sirloin steaks for $5/lb. Flank steak is also another great lean steak that can be had at a decent price.

Round of eye is probably best combo of price v. leanness; flank steak around here is way too pricey for the quality of meat that flank is, stringy and touch when compared to sirloin and eye, imo.

I buy beef tenderloins as well as flank steak.
Beef tenderloins are a bit expensive to be eating regularly though.

How about filet mignon? Yeah, it's expensive, but its has no fat whatsoever. Anyone else here try it?
