What? Don Frye pulled out and now Mo Lawal will fight last minute replacement Mark "The Smashing Machine" Kerr, get this... as the main event? Mark Kerr is my favorite fighter in history, not because os his skill but becasue he seemed like such a good dude who just got caught up in some bull, but watching him fight in the early days was amazing. He just domintaed guys with his GnP and learned BJJ after he started and added in subs. He actually beat Josh Barnett in ABDB (the vid is on YouTube). But now.... he looks and fights like shit. Mike Whitehead beat that ass and Mike is nothing special. Lawal is no joke in the wrestling department and he's in fantastic shape. Lawal was a D1 AA and won the Title in the short lived Real Pro Wrestling which was full of great wrestlers. Lawal has a long way to go but he has two things Mark doesn't have anymore, youth and muscles. RIP Kerr.

I'm a huge Documentary fan and this one is one of the best.

Yeah, he got very addicted to pain meds after treating tons of injuries. I can see how that would happen back then in the fighting buisness after 10 knee surgeries and a being at the top of a sport which allowed knees to the head of a downed opponent. It was a lot more of a real fight back then. The sport had to change. It is more of a sport and less of a fight now, but at least it's more accepted and we can watch alot more of it. I don't judge him. I have tons of injuries and I could see my life having went that way if I didn't stop competing. I take advil and fucking tylenol every goddamn day when I know 2 perc's a day would make me feel so much better but that would be a "drug habit." Meanwhile, I'm killing my liver with over the counters.

Any drug on a daily basis is a drug habbit, people lose kidneys and sometimes livers that way. Tylenol, Advil and the like are still drugs.

So true! I remember years ago a doc telling (of Percocet, Vicoprofen and Tylenol #3 w/Codeine), its not the Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, and Codeine that are dangerous, its the Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen you need to worry about!
If it betters your quality of life to be on, so be it... I know some people (w/migrains & back injuries) that wouldn't be able to function w/out opiates and would be bed ridden 24/7. with said, yes, some do abuse and create a nasty habbit. Shits hell to come off of.

Funny story... when we were in Vegas for UFC100 we bumped into where we were staying (Mandalay Bay).. My brother actually knows him from his days at Central Oklahoma (their schools would always wrestle together at tourny's, etc.). Super nice guy and great wrestler/fighter.

Mark Kerr is awesome. I would love to see him make a comeback but it won't happen. He is in such poor shape. He lloked like shit against Monson and the other guy he fought in Yamma Pit (I don't care to look it up). He has lost like 7 out of his last 10 or so. His only wins are against nobodys, literal nobodys, like "excuse me sir buying beer at Flying J , you wanna fight this Kerr guy" nobodys.

LOL
yeah man, thats hurtin for certain.

Kerr got embarassed. It looked to me like he fucked up his shoulder prompting the cover up he did. I would have like to see that end a little different. He still looked like shit, but he did look better than he has recently.

OMG Kerr got fucking raped!!..lol I think that little quad-amputee kid would've given lawal a better run then that!!! Sheeezz.
