i have had the left worked on a few years ago so that one is not to bad.

we did a very hard leg workout thursday and i can barley get up my stairs at home.

alot of pain. not bad walking but going up stairs or bending the leg in certain directions kills me.

will no longer do hacksquats i pushed through 10 sets of 10 with the pain [stupid fuck] they kill my knee. this was after 10 sets of 10 on the squats. then did 10 sets of 10 extentions. [ahh yes can i get another stupid fuck]

i dont do that workout but once in a bluemoon to shock the legs

will only be squating for awhile !! 6 sets followed by deadlifts. will give the knee a week and see if it gets better. go to the doc aweek from monday for a checkup anyway.

injuries suck

House 10 sets of Hacks ouch.Do you think that wittling your weight down had anything to do with it ?If so, how fast has your weight drop been since you started dieting?
I hope it is not too severe an injury bro.

70w30, the right knee has been bad for a while but i have been getting by with it.

the workout is my partners brainchild. he always follows mine so i follow his once in a bluemoon. was not suppose to do legs till today but couldnt make it so we did them thursday.

my weight is not dropping that fast not fast enough for me anyway. so that had nothing to do with it.

when your getting pain back off!!!! i should know that by now. sometimes you get stupid and you pay the price

leg extension put alot of stress on your knees, special 10*10 reps of that.
You over did it big time, also when you go down too far you place alot of stress on your knee. Specially on hack squats

After knee reconstructive surgery, leg extension were out of the question for 9 months, according to my orthopedic surgeon. To this day, hacks are the only thing that really kills me. Sometimes i wonder when doing heavy squats, when your at the point were your struggling with the weight to budge up, if my knee will hold up or not. Hasnt blown out yet, but there are times when it "slips" to either side, and it hurts for a few days.

House,
i know it may be blasphemy, but i would avoid squats and hacks for a couple of weeks. I would do a lot of leg presses, these are easiest on my knees, and if you dont lock out, they keep the stress on the muscle itself, not really the joint. If you do leg extension go high reps, and never past failure. Although they may seem like they put a lot of stress on the knee, sissy squats dont affect me much at all, more stress is on the kneecap, than the ligaments. Try some weighted sissy squats.

thanks as always roadhouse. will have to back off the legs a bit for a couple weeks. will try the weighted sissy squats

That sucks bro, but you probably know by now the key to full recovery is pacing yourself. Dont get too anxious.

Man, I had knee surgery a few years ago and hacks still bother me a little. Just be sure to ice it and do some ROM exercises at home for awhile. I know I wouldn't want another surgery. Let us know how it's going man.

hate to hear that man!!!! but as others have said get it checked out now and get the work done. you dont want to be having an on and off injury for years or more. pace yourself getting back into it

knee update

i just dont get it. hurt like a motherfucker last week and feels fine this week.

i pushed alot of weight doing squats and had no problems. i just dont get it.

still will be taking it slow. if it hurts i quit for the day. so far its all good.

since my ACL reconstruction, I've stuck to box squats.....I think they are a lot easier on the knee.....( your knees will never be close to coming over your toes)

what did you have the surgery for if I may ask?

jerkbox, i tore tendon[ not sure of the name ] and blew apart a bunch of cartilage . the tendon is still tore. they let scar tissue build up around it seems to be fine for now.
