New diet ???

Now I eat whatever yet focus on getting protein and adding shakes
to make up for the bad diet. I want to clean it up and try to lower bodfat levels which are at 17.4% right now. Though I do avoid cardio but that is soon changing...So I want to see if I can do this :

7:30
BAGEL W /CREAM CHEESE
80 GRAM PROTEIN SHAKE

9:30-4:30
1 WHOLE BAKED CHICKEN
BROCCOLI

5:30
FISH OR HAMBURGER
VEGGIES
PEPPERS

AFTER WORKOUT
80 GRAM PROTEIN SHAKE
CUP COTTAGE CHEESE

- WORKOUT DAYS ADD 3 CUPS BASMATI RICE TO CHIC/BROCC.

- EAT ONE APPLE 30 MINS BEFORE WORKOUT.

- NO CARBS FOR DINNER ON.
 
I don't know about the 80 grams of protein per shake, seems a bit much at once. And where it says 9:30-4:30, what does that mean? You eat it at sometime between 9:30-4:30? That's a looong stretch through the middle of the day to only eat once. Maybe I'm misunderstanding...
 
yea your diet doesnt make much sense...but you have kinda the right idea.
If you want to drop bodyfat, eat more frequently...that way you an speard the calories out and keep your metabolism up.
Before 6pm keep all your meals pro+carb
After 6pm switch to pro+fat+veggies

Example of a pro+carb meal (breakfast)
7 egg whites + 1 whole egg <---this little bit of fat is ok
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup strawberries
multivitamin

Example of a pro+fat meal (dinner)
7oz lean meat
large bowl of broccoli
1 tbsp flax/fish/live oil

If you workout past 6pm, then its ok to have high carb meals for 3 hours post-workout because your body will use them for refeeding/refueling, and wont be as likely to be stored as fat.
 
Thanks guys for the replies....Let me clear up something though...

The chicken and broccoli----I cook it and throw it in tuppaware and eat it every time I get hungry. Instead of the snack machine at work I pick up the bowl of chicken, broccoli, and rice and just start scooping it in.....As for the 80 gram shakes. I was eating 60 grams but all I have to do is throw in an extra sccop. If it goes to waste I really dont care I know then that I am atleast getting ehough instead of too little....

I sometimes do eat 6 egg whites and 2 yellows for breakfast, Everyone at work says I smell like a fart...I could care less...I may alternate the breakfast that way Im getting more real food. Though I probably will still get that shake in there........

How healthy is that whole chicken if I peel the skin after cooking. I know that the fat seeps in but some fat I assume help keeps the body anabolic and the carbs and sugars can hurt you. I could cook without skin I guess ???? Whats the jury on the whole chicken ????

Sounds more like a bulking philosophy to me... In your original post you were wanting to lose bodyfat, from 17%. With this "shotgun" approach it's gonna be near impossible. You have no idea how many calories you're getting at any given time.
