Now concerned

Guys, thursday did first glute shot ever in right cheek. Today still sore and now i am seeing a swollen patch from point of entry with needle, down glute to top of hip. Not hard, just a little swolen, whats the deal with that. Please advise.

Also want to add that it is a little red, not bad and I dont think it is hot, atleast not noticable.

I would go to the doc or get on some antibiotics at the first sign of a fever or flu-like symptoms.

Ok wil do, health wise I feel great. Just got back from gym and was fine. All i feel is a little soreness and at times like a burning under my right glute.

What do you tell the doc anyway. I would think patient doctor confidentiality would allow for the truth right. Has anyone tried that approach.

Have you used this gear before? Have you cycled before? Is it possible that you didn't inject correctly?

Abcesses don't happen overnight, incase that makes you feel better.

There is some reason why you should not tell the physician the truth unless he needs to know. There is a thread around here about it. Just tell the physician that you did a B-12 injection.

Seems like the vast majority of the time these things do fine on their own, but I'm certainly not going to tell you that you will be fine because frankly I don't know.

Sure sounds like more of a bad reaction than an infection, however.

Appreciate the info. It is getting better, I think I screwed it up and went off the mark. I also used a 1 inch pin which I know is bad but I thought I would be ok as I am rather lean, guess not. Thanks for the input.

True, they normally don't, but...I developed an infection within 24 hours becuase of dirty UG gear. I was able to treat it successfully with antibiotics before an abcess could form.

Things are progressivly getting better and i think i am in the clear. I did, like a dummy, do a test shot in the other glute with again, a 1 inch pin cause thats all i had and all is normal. I would like to stay in the glute but if you think the 1 inch just wont do for certain, I guess it is delt time.
