NUTRITION during cycle! How important are specifics

I'm not asking the age old question of what and how much.
I'm asking from experience what is your opinion on nutrition, during or even off cycles.

Is it really that important to you that you have an exact calorie intake you hit each day? Or do you just have a rough goal you try to achieve each day while keeping your macros in check.

I personally have no problem eating, prepping or even measuring my meals.
But keeping track of every calorie and every carb/fat (after years you can just tell how much protein is in a piece of chicken by looking at it :) ;) ) is just a burden.

Half the time I eat there's always some left over shraps, rice, little pieces of chicken, that surely you guys leave behind as we'll, how do you count your exact calories knowing your not eating every little shred of good you made and measured.

Counting calories at first was a bit of a hassle, but it has to be done, you NEED to know how much you are consuming to then properly keep track. Trust me, you'll get used to counting calories, and if it gets to the point where you eat the same things every day, you automatically know how much you are consuming (if all measurements remain the same.) Also, buy a scale and weigh your food!! IT IS A MUST in my opinion.

Don't get too crazy over hitting your calories to the exact amount. Try hitting your goal, if you go over 100 cals, oh well. If you go under 100 cals, oh well. There will be other days where you make up for those cals. But yes, count calories. It is useful for determining and setting a cardio calorie loss goal (like if im suppose to eat 3000 cals but i eat 3300 cals, i will do cardio and burn off 300 cals) It just takes getting used to. I dont count calories on cheat days though
