PCT Lower Back Pain - Clomid - Nolvadex

I've searched through multiple forums and have seen this pop up from time to time, but, not really sure what the source/cause is for this problem or what the solution is.

I'm currently on a round of PCT after coming off of HRT. Only using 20mg Tamoxifen and 35mg Clomid.

After day 3 of starting PCT, I noticed a discomfort in lower back during the morning that seemed to get worse if I stood or bent over a bit. It's more noticeable at night when I lay down to go to sleep...kind of like a constant nagging or dull pain. This thread on Elite describes my symptoms exactly.

At first, I thought it might have been a kidney problem, so I ordered up a blood test...all levels were fine, though my Hemocrit and Hemoglobin levels were a bit on the high side. I donated blood 2 days ago, which most likely improved the blood levels, but hasn't resolved the back pain.

Is it a back injury?
Not sure. I don't recall feeling any sharp bursts of pain during workouts last week when this started. I have taken 5 days off from the gym this week for the first time in 3 years though, hoping this would help. It hasn't.

I'm scheduling a sports massage tomorrow, and maybe a chiropractor visit sometime this week...but, any help, anecdotal experience, or words would be appreciated.

My guess is that is the SERMs. Something like 10% of women get back pain on Tamoxifen for example. It is hard to say though.

As an example, I get edema in my calves when using Raloxifene. It is rare but some people just don't responding well in the side effects department.

Good to know.

Just noting, when I take baby aspirin (82mg per pill), it takes the edge off. I've been taking 2-3 a day, and then melatonin to fall asleep at night too. It helps, but, sometimes I wake up at night from the dull/constant pain.

Also tried cutting caffeine, upping ZMA, Vit D, Vit B6, Taurine...nothing seems to soften the pain except for baby aspirin.

What happens when you jog a couple of miles?

3 mile jog/hike today and no problems.
Get home, rest on the couch and drink tons of water...then the lower back pain sets back in.

After a week with this suttle/dull pain, I'm definitely thinking it's the nolvadex/clomid.

Will check out NAC.

You might have to switch to an alternative PCT.
