Propecia/Finasteride

Is this a joke? Google it. I'm not sure you can even get that poison in the US anymore. It can cause permanent damage. You'll thank me later.

Cashout apparently has used it without negative effects. But tons of people on the net as a quick google search shows have used it with permanent effects of basically turning you into a woman. I am so sensitive to herbal alpha reductase inhibitors and these drugs were derived from plants that I do not even consider taking them as they are obviously more potent. I don't even see the need for one if your progesterone levels are high enough that will offer enough downregulation of dht. Just use less testosterone if it is a medical problem, which I have a hard time believing it is at a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose. Pregnenolone keeps my hairline there.

Cw is your progesterone injected, oral or a cream? How many mg Ed? I know Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) increases natural production or can but I was thinking of adding 50mh progesterone cream in addition to my 30mg dhea cream I do Ed.

I don't do progesterone I just take pregnenolone like 100mg twice a day. It will convert to progesterone as needed. I saw some guy taking progesterone on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) on another forum and it dropped his DHT ridiculously low. It is the natural anti alpha reductase. Pregnenolone is a neurosteroid along with dhea and the metabolites of preg so taking that really does make you smart as fuck over time and relieves anxiety due to oral non micronized preg binding to gaba receptors on the brain acting like benzos.

Great info thanks. Just ordered some topical topical pregnenolone at 15mg a pump. Should be able to use less with topical.

In short, I've used finasteride for the past 17 year straight. Only reason I have a rockstar head of hair.

I've participated in multiple clinical studies and I've read every one of the 248 peer reviewed published studies on the drug.

I'd be glad to comment on any questions you have.

Sorry for the brevity. I'm down at my beach house and I won't be online much over the next three weeks.

I posted this before but I'll do it again now.

Yes, pregnenolone will suppress test production in those individuals who are not introducing exgounous test into their system. Therefore, that will indirectly lower the possible opportunity for test to convert to DHT by the fact that there is less test available to be convert b/c the body is producing less test.

If you are injecting test, like those of us who are on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), there will always be a stable and readily available level of test in the body. If you are injecting test as you are, pregnenolone WILL NOT "down regulate" DHT in any form or fashion.

For the record, it is not "down regulation." Down regulation is a function of receptors not enzymes or substrates.

Pregnenolone does nothing to inhibit the 5-AR enzyme. In fact, pregnenolone interacts with the 5-AR enzyme just as test dose to convert to DHP just as test interacts with the 5-AR to convert to DHT.

Please stop telling folks that pregnenolone will "down regulate" DHT for those using Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) because the mechanism doesn't work that way and that is incorrect information.

Cash what dose of pregnenolone do you recommend?

Just like any other supplement that gets discussed here, I don't recommend using it unless there is a clearly articulated purpose for its use and a measurable means to assess the effectiveness of the treatment.

So, why would you want to use it? What do you hope to accomplish by supplementing it?

I've just read on mult TRT/HRT sites that it's recommended with long term testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) just like DHEA

On your next blood draw, I'd request a panel for your downstream target 21carbon mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids to see if you are deficient first.

Don't treat something that might not be an issue.

Got it. I'll save that and include in my next draw (Feb). Also dhea to see if my topical unproved my low levels.
