Quick question that might sound retard to most of you.. but does taking protein shakes while trying to cut work with or against cutting?

right now i'm in a akward position, i'm trying to lose bf, but get stronger at the same time. Don't know if thats even plosible... anyways advise is welcome.
 
as long as you stick to a water base low carb protein shake with perhaps added flax oil, then your perfectly fine. just dont rely on the protein shakes as your main source of protein. keep in mind that by eating whole foods our body must work(digest/metabolise) these foods..resulting in increased energy used by the body via thermogenisis!!
 
I found the best way "for me" during cutting phase was using "Isopure Zero Carb" Whey protein, in water, and added
L-Carnitine to my shakes, also added "CheriAminos" (twinlab) In the A.M. and Pm.

I have found for cutting stages, using Pure Whey Protein Isolate worked the best, it's assimilated by your body w/in a 1/2 hour after ingestion.Unlike casein and egg proteins that take longer to digest. Lots of water...Low Sodium...extra cardio and BAM your ready.
Granted this is JMO cause it worked for me
