protein and losing weight

awesome!!
the protein i have has 120 calories per serving, if i want to shed some fat,
should i still take the protein with those extra calories, i know i still need protein but that a lot of extra calories ill be consuming,
 
24g protein = 96 calories. Theres some (negligible) fat and carbs in most protein powders.

whether 120 calories is a lot or not is completely relative. If youre only getting 1000 calories through your diet then 120 calories is nothing, and you could easily use even more calories. If youre trying to lose weight and youre eating 4000 calories, then no, the extra 120 calories probably wont help much.
