I know this is probably not the right section to put this but i know there is a few really educated people that are on here and check this frequently....

Now ive heard about this and wanna get the low down on it..

If you drink a certain brand of protein powder for an extended period of time can your body actually develop an allergy to that certain brand of protein powder??

if so, does it ever go away? will you simply develop an allergy to whey protein all together??

im asking cause i keep getting hemmroids and im wondering if the protein powder is the cause. Im going to go get something else to see if it help but maybe someone has some insite on this......
i know this might be TMI but hey i know im not the only one who has suffered from these bastards!! I know hemmroids arent a usual allergic reaction but i eat clean and dont strain to much in the bathroom and lifting is good so im just reaching for a reason here........

sorry if this is completely inappropriate for here.......

I took the same protein powder from ON for years with no trouble. I've since tried just about every top brand protein with no issues at all. I go by taste usually and stick to only the best brands. I like myofusion lately. Anyway I know this doesn't help but I dont think it's the cause of your issues but who knows.

I have never had any allergic reactions to a good quality whey protein powder. Try a reputable brand like ON, Dymatize, Isopure, ISS, or Muscle Tech.

The first protein powder I had ever bought was from vitamin world because it was extremely cheap in price. And that powder did make me very bloated and messed up my stomach. Then I had bought another cheap one from GNC and had the same experience. After that, I always bought brand name protein powders and never once had any problems.

Now I did get hemroids from taking creating and glutamine and I know several people outside of my self that do also. I guess it just doesnt agree with certain people but I have never heard of any one having allergic reactions to whey protein.

Ive been taking muscle milk for awhile now and I like it cause it tastes great, but I was talking to a few people the other day and one mentioned about the price of protein going up and everyone should stock up. then my cousin was telling me about not sticking to just one brand cause your body overtime will or could develop and allergy to that protein. He was telling me he read it some book and that you should switch off between brands every so often...

That weird you say that about creatine and glutemine, I would of never thought that would have that effect but now that you said that I'm for sure gonna try this muscle tech powder I just picked up for a bit an see what happens.....

I switched to egg and a beef powders and either mix them or alternate. Once I got away from whey. mine when away. Most people are more sensitive to whey than they realize.
