Post workout, you want whey. Bedtime, you want casein. Midday, you may want a mix.

This is grossly oversimplified, but there's no single best protein for every situation. Sorry.
 
As Assitch made clear: there's no simple answer. www.trueprotein.com has all sorts of proteins available and explain the differences in pretty technical terms. I would combine reading what they say with some reading from other sources in order to determine exactly what you want.
 
if i was you id buy ON whey protein for when you wake up in the mourning and after you come home from the gym... and a good cassien or cassien egg blend before bed... you dont gotta get all crazy with it! just those two... the rest you should get from food!

You are best off buying an Isolate. I highly recommend the Isolate Cold-Filtration from www.trueprotein.com.

By adding carbs or fats with your whey you can slow the absorption, or you can mix it with milk.
 
i've been using hydrolized 520 from protien factory. absolutly disgusting in taste, but by far the best protien for recovery and growth, imo. hydro 520 is the shit.

So all that muscle you gained in the last 3 years...not real muscle. Better get some hemp quick.

That guy is a tool. They talk about the distended bellies and shit, but whos pic do they post? Greg Kovac's!!!!! The guy is a science experiment gone wrong. It has more to do with the amount of drugs he takes, not the protein he drinks.

Exactly! Now I just need to figure out how many grams of hemp protein I can get from smoking bud.

I think you're right. When I get swole as well as rich off of this opportunity, I'll try not to forget the little guys.
