Question for the vets!!!!!

hey guys hows it going

havent been on this site in a couple years, maybe some of u may remember the name

this is a question for the original vets (men of respect) such as needsize teutonic dread pirate roberts mr p and whoever else i cant remember sorry

my father is a fresh 54 years old and is on trt - androgen gel, not exactly sure of the dose but can find out easily

he is about 511-6 foot weighing in at approx 225 15-18% bf, i could help him get better

an expert eye can def see that hes on a form of an exogenous testosterone

diet is ok very basic breakfast lunches and dinner, usually skips 1 of the meals, but no sweet indulgences any more

now whether he has a relatively low test and wouldnt be able to combat it with serious proper diet and training, which he hadnt done in years before the androgen, and has begun again minus the serious part, or they just hand out trt to middle aged guys because the national average of testosterone is too high im not sure, but hes on it with only good things to say and no complaints.

he does very basic training in the basement both cardio and weights several times a week in the morining, and like i said u can see it. is reluctant go get a gym membership just yet

so my question, which he is intrigued in is adding another drug

my initial though would be an 8-12 week cycle of anavar @ 30-50 mgs a day with proper diet and training in a gym which he would make the move for

i feel its a good drug to choose for the goals hes aiming for, filling looking lean gains with some bf reduction, he already has a base from training in his younger years as a teen until about 36

the characteristics of the drug as well as the low risk of its beauty is perfect, if u have another suggestion id love to hear

the reply switch from his topical test to a typical recommendation of 12 weeks of enanthate is unwanted, u need to consider the circumstances, hes 54 y/o 3 children not having more already on TRT so any reason to switch such as keeping stable test blood levels, or the worry of becoming impotent are irrelevant in this case as well as the goals desired, u see too many older guys just hop on test look like shit and look like their on steroids is undesired as well as injecting test in this instance

what should be done about his current TRT on a cycle such as i said earlier?

should it remain the same? increase? thanks

also his cholesterol was high some years ago but he got it down to normal with diet changes, is there anything that should be noted when using anavar?

and pct? just remain on the androgel is what i would imagine

thanks any other input would be much desired

thanks a lot guys i hope this will spark some desired intelligence on the forum

also since when did the cycle checkpoint list change? the new sticky is ridiculous in my opinion and wrong-check the original

I'm 62 and only into BB and AAS since 1980 but I think this is a double thread... hello :dunno:

I don't know though if I am an intelligent Vet, are you OP

Even var, as mild as it may be, should not be run for that long. If I were you I would tell him to ask his doctor to switch to injections anyway as the dosing is more accurate(a lot more), it keeps blood levels more stable, and he wouldn't have to worry about a loved one getting the gel on them, especially a woman or a child. If he ups the test then get an ai, and nolva just in case of gyno, with ralox or torem being the better choices. Get him in the gym.

With all that said, first thing he MUST do is lower the bf% to, at the very highest, 15%. The higher the bf the more aromatase enzymes, so the more e2. I think var is a great choice, but limit it to 6 weeks, especially with the cholesterol issues. Good luck and sorry I'm not a vet, but there are other people with some intelligence on here, player.

i meant it was open to anyone intelligent, im sorry i just didnt want typical responses i used to see on here from the constant re-read know it alls sorry again

I was on the Gel for about 1 1/2 years and it became less and less effective. (I am 51yrs old) After a while my levels would not go over 225 ng/dl and thye would dip even lower. I am now on TRT Test Cyp. and .5 mgs arimidex 3x week. Levels have remained stable at 750 ng/dl and my body fat composition has changed dramatically. I did add 40mgs anavar ED and my body fat dropped even more. I am guessing around 10%. However I did get slight elevation of cholesterol nothing outrageous. I won't go back to the gel.

Well my dad is 73 he didn't like the shots so after a year he switched to the gel. It's just not as good as a shot. But for old guys who don't lift it is a great improvement. What is you goal.

If you want to bring down his body fat then tell him to stop skipping meals. It puts the body into starvation mode where it stores everything your eat to fat. Then make adjustments with his diet. Eat meat it's the best food.
