Seems odd to me. [First Post]

First glad I found somewhere to be able to ask this kind of question. My T levels in my early 30's were in the 800 range I hit 40 and they went to 200ish. So I started TRT. My Son is transgender and has been getting T shots for a few years now *self injecting*. When I asked my doctor about self injecting and not having to come in all the time for the injections I was told no. He said that there is a shortage and thats the reason I can not self inject. After that visit I noticed that Every time I go in the injection is already filled and there is no bottle of T in sight. It made me feel uneasy to I told the doctor that next time I need to be there when the injection is drawn that I wanted to see it go from bottle to syringe to my butt. I was told this was not going to happen it is "not the way things are done". I am highly uncomfortable with this and every time I bring it the nurse tells me to talk to the doctor and the doctor gives me an answer like 1+1= bacon, you like bacon right be happy with bacon, not the 1+1=2 that I need. Has anyone heard of anything that would back up what he is saying to me? Maybe it's me but if it smells like BS, walks like BS and gives BS answers I'm going to think it's BS.

The answer is easy. Get a new doctor. I personally would not use a doctor that did not allow me to self-inject my TRT. That is a deal breaker. There is not shortage. He is just doing it to make more money off you. Period.

That's b.s. man!
I would also demand to see the vial this stuff came out of. Very fishy!!!
Shortage of T ???
where is this ?
this is ridiculous!
You are better off injecting T twice a week and having a smoother ride with less estradiol fluctuations.

+1 Megatron, get a new doc.

I liked that one though, there is a "shortage". Of what?! vials ?! Oh the world we live in, and fearfully, some of the Medical Doctors that are supposed to care for us.

Have u had your levels tested yet on this protocol ?
Is/has this doc going to read out the results to you or allow you to see the lab ?
is he open to actually giving you a photocopy of it ?
I'd be very concerned as to why your T went from the 800's to 200's ?
were you on any anti 'ds that may have possibly lowered your T ?
Have you had a sleep study done before hoping on TRT?
Did this doc diagnose you with Primary or secondary hypogonadism ?

Have u had your levels tested yet on this protocol ?: Once in six months.
Is/has this doc going to read out the results to you or allow you to see the lab ?: Read them to me.
is he open to actually giving you a photocopy of it ?: "We do not give out medical records to patient but we will send them to other doctors." < This will not fly with me.
I'd be very concerned as to why your T went from the 800's to 200's ?: Unknown
were you on any anti 'ds that may have possibly lowered your T ?: I was not.
Have you had a sleep study done before hoping on TRT?: I have not.
Did this doc diagnose you with Primary or secondary hypogonadism ?: I went in complaining of no energy, tired all the time, low sex drive, Also noticed loss of muscle mass and fat redistribution. Blood tests were given and T was started.

The only thing that changed form the 800 to the 200ish range is I had lost weight being 6ft3in I went from 385 to 240.

Sounds like BS to me. Tell the doctor that he doesn't do what you say, then you'll find another doctor. Quite honestly, it so easy to inject yourself subcutaneously, there is no reason for him to administer it.
