I've usually avoided shrimp just because of their texture but I was thinking about their protein content? Is it somewhat decent? If so Ill start munching them down.
Like scallops and my hometown favorite MD blues, shrimp are great in lemon, old bay or wye river seasoning and butter. FYI you can reduce some of the salt content by rinsing them under cold tap water before grilling or boiling because the old bay can get a little high in sodium. Try grilling them thats where it's at!
I love the taste of shrimp especially how their flavor blends with most seasoning or even simple things like lemon and butter, but the texture of them (if not done right) just gets to me. Blackened shrimp are where its at.
