So I got hit with a bad sinus infections about 10 days ago. I went to a local walk in Doctors Care and the doc prescribed me a strong anti biotic and told me to take a Decongestant with it. He recommended Claritin-D but told me that any medicine with the word D will do (Example: Zyrtec-D, Mucinex-D).
So for the last 9 days I have been taking Antibiotics and Claritin-D. The side effects I have noticed from taking Claritin-D are the fact that I am full of energy and jacked all day long to a point I cant sleep more than 4 hours every night and that with waking up after every 1 or 2 hours of sleeping. The Decongestant even makes my heart rate jump to a point I was sweating like crazy at the gym and when I would get on the elyptical and check my heart rate it would be between 180 to 190. But the main side effect I noticed that concerns testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is that I have had extremely low libido since I started taking Claritin-D. I did some research and found out that the main ingredient causing these side effects is Sudafedrine or Sudafed. The reason I continued taking this medicine even if it caused low libido is because I wanted the sinus infection to compeletely go away so I wont have to do another round so I tried to do every thing by the book.
But just wanted to share this experience with you guys. If you are taking a Decongestant or Sudafedrine, this may be the reason you have a low libido even on TRT.
Looking forward to stopping this medicine after tomorow so I can start getting hard ons again.
