Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for life, possible danger for all us.

TRT for life, possible danger for all us.

Many of us think we have the game figures out and if we simply cycle our gear the right way, and use post cycle therapy (pct) in the off periods, no long term damage will occur. Personally I did 7 years of cycling, but sometimes stayed on for 4-5 months at a time, because, lets face it, we all push it a little. But, I did recover for 8-12 weeks at a time with post cycle therapy (pct) 2-3x a year. My doses were reasonable and about what everyone else uses. I started at 36-37 years of age long after optimizing my full potential. I am 45 years old now and on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for the rest of my life. I tired 1 year cold turkey with just HCG, clomid, tamoxifen for recovery. Went back to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) several times during that year, and I never got my natural test back.....NEVER. After 13 months of cold turkey and final test reading of 60 (300-1200 is normal), I went on TRT. Will be on this the rest of my life. I have read up on the issue and I think this will be the norm.....meaning this will happen to most of us using AAS, regardless of how smart we all think we are and how we cycle and the post cycle therapy (pct) we apply.......

Know I will be disagreed with, and maybe flamed, but it happened to me and I was reasonably careful, as well as 2 friends of mine that are now on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for life as well. The only up side is that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is kind of awesome and I am still better off than all other 45 year olds.

Everybody is different but yea with long term use there is always that possibility of ur test levels ne'er going back to wat they used to be

It's one of the things that come with AAS.

It doesn't bother me that much. I think that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is beneficial as you get older and testosterone starts declining. It's something that I would look down the road regardless of if I never touched anything.

first off good post

i always kinda looked at like putting a supercharger on your car. its fun but if your not careful burn out the engine. I have to agree with you thats why ive been kinda hard on guys wanting to start up a cyce quickly after finishing a cycle. i think honest to avoid that situation could be difficult or near impossible. 1 MAYBE 2 cycles a year for 10-12weeks (modest compounds not Tren or Deca) Is what i think is the best way to avoid it or prolong the need for TRT.

However, at 45 you may have needed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) anyway without the cycling you will never know (unless you have a brother close in age). your test should be 1/2 of what it was at 30 by genetics alone. ive seen guys recover using clomid at 25mgs ED but for some it took a few years. also if you used clomid it should have elevated your levels naturally while you were using it. they would drop once you stopped using it. my suggestion is if you need to come off testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (bad bloods) run 25mg of clomid and get levels checked. stay on the clomid till you can get back on TRT.

Good post, already aware, wouldn't actualy mind been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) when I'm older, at least my levels then won't decline through age, they'll remain constant.

good post id like to share that i actually may have experienced permanent shutdown after my 2nd cycle. i never got bloodwork after the first. but a week after PCT still felt like shit so i got tested and was at total test 17ng. I'm currently running clomid and waiting for my Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) to arrive to see if i can hopefully avoid testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) already

How old are you? If you don't mind me asking...

Just realize, those of you that are not on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), is that it sucks for the most part. Yes you still have the normal test level and feel like a man which is HUGE, but the downsides are definitely there. You are stuck on it, it is no longer your choice anymore. It's a grass is always greener scenario.

There will be repurcussions with abusing, quote unquote, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as well. If you don't donate blood, monitor your lipids, use the SMALLEST dosage you can to feel normal and try to stay away from AI's then you will still have poor health when your older. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a last effort thing, need to try anything and everything first. Wanting something and being forced to use something are two different things mentally.

Check out Cashouts posts about dosages under 50mg and the possibility of controlling estrogen using supps and the small dose so it doesn't effect your cholesterol and health nearly as much.

Sorry for the rambling, and not directed at OP or anyone in particular, just in general. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a godsend if you MUST have it, but it still sucks and if you don't need it please don't start on it.

Try clomid if you can before using TRT. Take 25mg everyday for 6 months. There is evidence that at 6 months of use some peoples HPTA is acually repaired and returned to normal test levels. Also it works well to repair your sperm production and boost test levels.

Rowdy, always love your insight. Where did you see that study that 6 months of clomid can bring you back? Also, was it in primary hypogonadotropic hypogonadism? These are the population for most such medical studies, but their inference to AAS abuse is minimal (usually a completely different mechanism)

Sorry to hear. I can see the slippery slope we slide down.
Just one cycle....
Ok only once a year...
maybe a summer cut and winter bulk..
Three times a year won't hurt...

At least this is the path I'm on, which will probably lead me to the beginning of yours. I got blood work almost a year after my last cycle and my t was low ( 340 age 31). I wish I would have gotten blood work done before I started at all.

I hope the best for you and those testicles.

I agree with this too. Not on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) yet, I am 42, my numbers seem good still, but if they were to fall, well time to do it. No biggie - BUT you dont want to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) <40 so take proper post cycle therapy (pct) and follow the vets advice here

Moppy, in your 7 years of cycling did you use Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) on cycle? Just curious as to what people think about that helping avoid trt.

Moppy, I haven't seen the actual report, just got that news from Zeek recently. I believe it was steroid induced hypogonadism.

I have an actual injury to my testes, so the clomid raised my test but it returned to low upon stopping the clomid. I'll try to get more info on the studies and re post here. If there is an actual medical problem (physical) then I don't believe it would help. I believe it works only if your HPTA needs to be "Shocked" back in to working order. This sound like AAS induced Hypogonadism should be helped somwhat.

Plus, legal script testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) treatment is great if you need it, but it can be expensive as well. Always better to pay the cost of the clomiphene citrate and attempt a restart first.

I'm only 23. I'm 24 next month i just really hope i haven't fucked myself for good

Keep to 12-15 weeks, stay off the hard stuff, IMO test e is enough take the right ancilleries (spelling) 12.5 aromisin, I dont do HCG, but maybe you should, and full post cycle therapy (pct) clomid and nolva. (when I run a test e cycle I only ever use clomid) BUt not everyone is like me. Dont play with tren. TBH not necessary IMO>
